Worship Through Giving

Giving is an important part of our worship where we are able to give back to the Lord with thanksgiving for His great generosity towards us.

Giving can be done through debit/credit cards as well as eCheck/ACH bank transfers.

While online giving is convenient, there is a fee involved that is deducted from your gift unless you select to cover the following transaction fees when entering your payment information. For credit/debit cards, the fee is 3% + $0.30/transaction, and for a bank transfer, the fee is 1% + $0.25/transaction. The total amount given, including the amount to cover fees is tax deductible.

If you join us for in-person worship, an offering basket is made available during our worship service. You may give checks made out to “Cross Park Church” or cash. However, if you give cash, please note that we will not be able to track your contribution and it will not be reflected on any end-of-year giving statements unless you attach a note to the cash with your name on it.

This would essentially be setting up Cross Park Church as a payee in your online banking “Bill Pay” (or equivalent), and then paying the church either as a one-time or recurring transaction.

Be sure to have your first and last name indicated on the check so that we can associate the gifted funds to your record of giving with the church.

Donating appreciated non-cash assets (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, etc.) can be an effective way to maximize your giving. When you give appreciated assets, in many cases, you may receive an immediate income tax deduction for the fair market value of your gift and also avoid capital gains tax.

Tracking Your Contributions

Since 2016, we have been using a church management software called “Breeze” to track individual offerings to the church.

You can gain access to Breeze to see your personal giving history by sending a request to bookkeeper@crossparkchurch.org and we will send you an invitation via email that will instruct you to create your own personal user name and password for Breeze.
