Cross Park Kids

Get Involved

At Cross Park, we have a ton of kids!  And we firmly believe that children are a vital part of our church family.  We have a number of classes and programs where little ones can learn and grow together.  From nursery, through children's worship, and special events and Sunday School classes, we always strive to teach our children about God's love, and to help them learn to love and serve each other as well.  Below you can find information about our current classes, and other ways for your kids to get involved at Cross Park.

Current Children's Events

Nursery

Nursery Care is available during Sunday School (9:30 am) and Worship (10:30 am), for Newborns through Age 3.

During worship hour all ages will be working through the God Loves Me storybooks by Patricia Nederveld. Each of these books retells a Bible story in simple language that young children can understand. Children will learn about God's wonderful creation and people like Abraham, Hannah, David, Simeon, Anna, Peter, Jesus and Paul—and all the wonderful stories in between.

For more information about our nursery, contact Katie Gignac.

Children’s Sunday School

Age 4 - 2nd Grade Sunday School
Our younger children will be working through Beginning Kids' Quest Catechism Club. This curriculum uses accounts from the Bible of God's work in the world to help children understand God's character and abstract theological truths.

3rd - 5th Grade Sunday School
Our older children will be studying The Dangerous Journey which is a re-telling of John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress in modern language for children.

Children’s Worship

All children Ages 4 and up join us in singing during the beginning of our Worship each week. After this, we have Children's Worship during the sermon for Ages 4 through 2nd Grade.

Children’s Worship will be using the Preschool and Younger Elementary Show Me Jesus curriculum by Great Commission Publications.
1st-2nd grade children will return to the service for our closing songs.
4’s-Kindergarteners will remain in the Media Center to be picked up by a parent.

Children in 3rd Grade and up stay with their families to participate in the Sermon.
We print children's bulletins to help them engage with the Scripture passage, and to encourage them to ask questions and take notes.

Kid Check

We want our children to be safe and protected at all times while in nursery care and various classes.  For this reason, we ask that all parents register at kidcheck.com.  All of our children and volunteers will be signed in with this site each week.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Christina Emmons.
